BUILDING THE BROKEN WALLS
Walls are structures built for defense surrounding a city. A city walls keeps it enemies from advancing and protect the people inside from any harm. But when those walls are breached- when stone is torn from stone so that mere rubbles remains- the city and its people are left vulnerable to every wind that blows and every vandal that prowls. The theme for the Book of Nehemiah is the Lord’s protection of his people and their need to be faithful in worship and in keeping the Mosaic law.
