BUILDING THE BROKEN WALLS

Walls are structures built for defense surrounding a city. A city walls keeps it enemies from advancing and protect the people inside from any harm. But when those walls are breached- when stone is torn from stone so that mere rubbles remains- the city and its people are left vulnerable to every wind that blows and every vandal that prowls. The theme for the Book of Nehemiah is the Lord’s protection of his people and their need to be faithful in worship and in keeping the Mosaic law. Nehemiah 1: 1-3 In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa,   2  Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem. 3  They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.” T...

PURPOSE OF THE ANOINTING

The Anointing of the God was done in the old testament by pouring oil on someone or something to set the person or that thing apart; for a special purpose. Anointing was performed for high priest, tabernacle vessels, for kings and prophets. Why? Because they had a special purpose. When Jesus Christ came into this world, He was given a name in Hebrew “Messiah” which it’s Greek equivalent Christ but both had one meaning, Anointed One. In the Bible, God told Moses to prepare an Anointing Oil, and use is to anoint the Tabernacle, Ark of the Testimony, Tables and his Vessels and the Candlestick and his vessels. God told Moses to do this to sanctify them so they may be Holy and even whatever touches these things will also be Holy because the things symbolized Christ. Afterwards God told Moses to Anoint Aaron and His Sons and consecrate them for them to work in the Priest Office. The Oil that the Prophet of God used, and are still using isn’t he important think but the Spirit of God imbedd...

BECOMING A VALUABLE ASSET

In life something valuab le, is of a very good use and has proven itself to be good. There are assets everywhere in life but not all of them are valuable. Some assets were valuable but after losing their value they are of no use. In Matthew 5: 13, Jesus Christ compared believers to a Salt. If it loses it flavor or taste, it can’t be made salty again. The Only Option is to throw it away, trampled underfoot as worthless. It is true that an asset by definition, must have a value. But the fact is some assets have more value than others. An example is an asset worth a million dollar is more valuable that an asset worth hundred dollar.     ( "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Matt 5:13) In the book of Judges Chapter 11, is a great warrior named, Jephthah. He was a Gileadite, his father was called Gilead. But his mother was a ...

WHEN JESUS STEPS IN

John 5:1-9  New International Version (NIV) Sometime later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals.  2  Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda [ a ]  and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades.  3  Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.  [4]  [ b ]   5  One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.  6  When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” 7  “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” 8  Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”  9  At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on ...
